Build understanding of personal identity through reflection on self and family origins
Interview family elders for stories on places of origin
Cartography practice by mapping family migration: draw voyage routes and time lines connecting ancestral homes/lands to Hawai’i
Create a family tree or rap song about their genealogy and /or family story of places
Create personal artwork related to places using maps, memories, family history
View works of art and reflect on the meaning, nature, and value of one’s own works and the works of others through analysis, interpretation, and judgment
